ASACP Traveling to Atlanta Forum

LOS ANGELES — ASACP CEO Joan Irvine is available at the Atlanta Forum for meetings to discuss what the organization and the adult industry is doing to stop child pornography and protect children online.

The Atlanta Forum, presented by ASACP platinum sponsor NationalNet.com, will be held at the W Hotel Perimeter Center in Atlanta Sept. 18-20. The Atlanta Forum, a sister show to the Phoenix Forum, provides adult webmasters and service providers with networking, educational and promotional opportunities.

“With the recent Child Online Protection Act ruling, it was determined that parental filtering was as effective as age verification systems when it came to helping parents prevent their children from viewing age-inappropriate content," Irvine said. "ASACP’s award winning Restricted to Adult/RTA website label has become the industry standard label for protecting children online and stopping Congress from legislating mandatory labeling.”

Irvine added that it was because of the support of sponsors like NationalNet that progress has been made in its mission. In addition to providing financial support, NationalNet has provided volunteers for ASACP booths and trade shows, helped the organization find additional sponsors and has provided the organization with hosting services.

Founded in 1996, the ASACP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP also works to help parents prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online.
