NakedSword Gives Away Folsom Street Fair Prize Package

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay video-on-demand network NakedSword, which is operated by AEBN, has announced a promotional contest to celebrate the 25th annual Folsom Street Fair.

In conjunction with the San Francisco Visitors Bureau, NakedSword will offer a three-day, two-night prize package for two to the Folsom Street Fair, held in San Francisco.

“Folsom Street Fair is one of our favorite things about San Francisco,” TheSword.com editor Mike Stabile said. “We’re excited to offer two lucky readers the chance to experience that which truly defies explanation.”

Contestants must fill in the “blank” in the following statement:

“I’ve got to get to Folsom! The last time I made whoopee with someone in my town, I told him I wanted to … and he ran away screaming!”

The final entries will be revealed on TheSword.com prior to the fair, and the entry judged as the “filthiest” will take the grand prize.

Entries must be received no later than Aug. 31. Submissions can be sent to editors@TheSword.com.

The Folsom package is valued at more than $3,000 and includes airfare, accommodations, dining passes worth $200, free public transportation passes and admission to select museums, as well as VIP passes to the fair, which will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28.

The Folsom Street Fair is the sixth largest street fair held in the State of California and last year’s event attracted more than 400,000 attendees. The fair, which is organized by nonprofit Folsom Events, is the culmination of San Francisco’s Leather Pride Week, which is surrounded with a host of special events, parties and fundraising efforts.

Revenue from the fair goes to benefit various Bay Area and national GLBT community charities, as well as resource organizations benefiting women and children.

Contest details can be found at the network's blog, TheSword.com.
