Shane’s World Readies for Launch

LOS ANGELES — Adult production company Shane’s World is gearing up for the launch of its redesigned website slated for Monday, July 7.

A longtime leader in reality gonzo, the company’s website and accompanying affiliate program have not been updated since the 1990s.

“Shane's World has never had the web presence that it deserves,” Airek, Shane’s World’s vice president of marketing and brand management [and self-styled ‘special agent’] told XBIZ.

“It has been like the fat kid in the candy store that no one would let eat any of the merchandise,” Airek said.

“The network had issues, the delivery mechanisms were not well orchestrated, and the tools for affiliates were lame. The new program let’s the fat kid loose in the candy store to do damage.”

Though Airek said the company preferred to keep full details of the new site under wraps, he did reveal that the site will allow affiliates to turn DVD titles into a web-based model to increase revenue. And the new setup will offer webmasters tools to assist in qualifying traffic.

Surfers will qualify themselves before reaching the tour, giving affiliates a better conversion ratio. All scenes have been logged into appropriate niche categories allowing affiliates to be directed to specific, requested niches.

“Now, we’ll have about 22 niches that affiliates can promote in Shane’s World,” Airek told XBIZ.

On the surfers’ end, the site will offer high-resolution 720 X 480-size movies and downloadable content that can be viewed in Flash. The new site will also contain a hybrid-style tour system containing three different types of tours.

According to Airek, one of the tours will attempt to feature a YouTube type of system, in addition to traditional and all-access tours.

The company has recently formed a strategic partnership with Europe’s Porn Week; a move the company said will result in fresh European faces appearing in the Shane’s World library by the end of the year. Locally, the site will promote recent contract girl Casey Parker and “another new girl whose name I can’t reveal yet,” according to Airek.

“The greatest part about Shane's World is anyone can promote us and cash in big. This content has hardly been seen on the web.” Airek said. “With 10 years plus of exclusive content in 22 niches, there is something for everyone. This brand is a household name and it converts. At $30 a sale, those that are first to market are going to make a killing.”
