AdultVest Named Hedge Fund Launch of the Year

NEW YORK — A mainstream financial publication recognized adult investment firm AdultVest.com as its hedge fund launch of the year.

Alternative Investment News gave out its Sixth Annual Hedge Fund Industry Awards last Wednesday in New York. The awards honored hedge funds, fund of funds, consultants, endowments, foundations and corporate and public funds.

AdultVest Founder and Chairman Francis Koenig said he was surprised that a mainstream outlet would recognize an adult investment company.

"Thank you for having the courage to nominate us," he said. "It's a great honor to be recognized as a leader and pioneer in a ceremony honoring the careers of several of this century's most successful investors."

AdultVest's most prominent acquisition to date is the domain iPorn.com, which has since been populated with a membership site offering free signups and opportunities to interact with adult performers. AdultVest relaunched iPorn.com in May as a part of EroticaLA.

The mainstream honor isn't the first for AdultVest, which merited a mention in BusinessWeek Magazine.

The hottest new hedge fund may also be the raciest,” wrote BusinessWeek staff writer Jessica Silver-Greenberg, who added that the company is worth $7.9 billion.
