Colin Farrell Sues Over Sex Tape; XXXCash Director Named in Suit

LOS ANGELES – Actor Colin Farrell sued his former girlfriend Nicole Narain in Los Angeles Superior Court today, accusing the former Playboy Miss January 2004 of exploiting a sex tape they both made 2-1/2 years ago for their own personal enjoyment.

XXXCash Director of Operations Paul Nash also was named in the suit, alongside Narain and David Hans Schmidt, the man accused of shopping the tape around to a handful of top Internet adult sites.

However, Nash told XBiz he has nothing to do with the tape and was never in possession of it. Nash said his company was approached to either buy the tape or partner on the profits, but that he declined the offer based on the fact that Schmidt only had Narain’s release signature.

“Since we run FemaleCelebrities.com, FemaleStars.com and Stars.com, we were an obvious choice to be approached for the purchase of the tape, but we said no at this time,” Nash told XBiz. “Unless there are two signatures, we’re not interested.”

XXXCash is a client of Internet Commerce Group, which was not named in the suit. Nash is currently looking into why he was added to Farrell’s lawsuit. He has not yet been served any papers pertaining to the case.

The 14-minute sex tape in question recently surfaced and was being busily shopped around to a list of adult companies by Schmidt for an asking price of around $1.2 million. Schmidt also contacted adult marketing consultant Kevin “KB” Blatt, who refused any involvement with the tape because of the illegalities in distributing it over the Internet without Farrell’s release signature.

Blatt will be appearing tonight on CNN's television broadcast "Showbiz Tonight" at 7 P.M. (EST) to discuss the Farrell tape and his encounters with Schmidt.

In legal filings, Farrell asserts that the couple had agreed at the time the tape was shot to never release it publicly, however, Narain allegedly decided to use the tape for profit and hired Schmidt to market and sell it.

In the meantime, Farrell is seeking unspecified damages and a permanent injunction against distribution of the tape. He also has asked that all copies of the tape be returned to him.
