Private Debuts Clips Site

BARCELONA – Private Media Group has launched PrivateClips.com, a site where surfers have the alternative to rent and download segments of Private’s library rather than purchasing the entire movie from which the clip was lifted.

The Video-on-Demand (VOD) site also has a streaming rental option. In both cases, viewers are allowed unlimited access to the five-to-ten-minute clips for seven days.

The site also will feature unreleased hardcore footage and will be added to Private’s affiliate program, PrivateCash.com, with a launch incentive of a free 15-minute, non-DRM clip for users to keep.

Payment for PrivateClips is available by credit card as well as an SMS option, standard in Europe but only recently gaining popularity in the United States. SMS allows customers to purchase content and be billed with a premium text messaging charge on their phone bill.

Private, which claims the world's first full-color adult publication in 1965, added wireless phone and PDA porn content in 2002.
