Michael Deak, of 3MD Productions, the parent company of No Cover Productions, and AEBN’s Chris Baker both see a VOD-then-DVD release format as the template for future films in the series. The partnership has created expectations that the second installment will perform as well as, if not better than, its counterpart.
“When Chris and I first started talking about trying a direct to VOD marketing strategy we never imagined the level of success we achieved,” Deak said.
“While the first film went well beyond our expectations, we think we can reach new heights with the sequel,” Baker said. “If you aren’t already a fan of the series, you certainly will be after watching this one.”
Reprising his role as director for the second installment is veteran filmmaker Viktor Store, who leads a crime investigation in the streets and studios of Prague. Shot on location in the Czech Republic, the movie stars Robbie Masters, Jay Renfro, Jirka, Pavol, Michal, Denis, Danny, Dark, Milan, Tom and Hozna.
Adds Michael, “Due to its overwhelming success, it only makes sense to use the same reverse release marketing strategy as 'BSI Prague: Part 1.'" Deak said. "From the buzz and soft launch numbers, everyone says the sequel’s action is even hotter.”
The DVD will be released Tuesday, March 4.
