Cam Site Voyr.com Launches New Affiliate Program

CYBERSPACE — IMS Media's live cam website Voyr.com just finished beta testing, and the company is launching a new affiliate program to go with it.

IMS Media Owner Ivan Cohen told XBIZ that affiliates can sign up and earn money on a pay-per-sale or revshare basis based around the company's cam show auction system, which offers customers two ways to buy shows:

  • Standard auction. The performers will offer starting prices for the shows they'd like to perform. Customers will then bid against each other for the show, much like an eBay auction.
  • Reverse auction. The customers set a price they're willing to pay for a certain show, and the performers bid against each other to win the customer's money.
  • The pay-per-sale option will give webmasters a $30 payout for every new member they send to the site.

The revshare option will give webmasters 20 percent of all money made from auctions started by members they send to the site.

Coming out of their beta-testing phase, Cohen said that his company's reverse auction system proved the most popular of his two models.

"Every single guy who did a reverse auction did at least one more," he said. "Nobody did just one."

Consultant Michael Sperber has been working with Cohen on this project, and he added that the reverse auction is a huge boost for a customer's ego.

"After the customer starts a reverse auction, he can watch a catfight play out," he said, explaining that a chat screen appears for every reverse auction that shows the dialogue of the competing performers.
