JoAnn Ownbey Joins HotMovies as Account Exec

PHILADELPHIA — JoAnn Ownbey has joined Internet video-on-demand provider HotMovies.com as an account executive with HotMovies' studio team in Portland, Ore.

Ownbey has been away from adult for the last five years to be at home with her family. Before leaving the business, she spent two years managing office operations for video duplicator New Age Conversions.

“It’s great because I already have relationships with many content producers all over the world,” Ownbey said. “It’s a perfect segue. And aside from seeing and working with many old friends, I look forward to meeting and executing deals with a whole host of new people. It just couldn’t be a better fit.”

Ownbey will serve as another contact point for the 1,500 studios already working with HotMovies, expanding its library from 10,000 to 80,000 titles in the past three years. She also will help administrate the West Coast office.

“It’s nice to have another female voice on the studio side and a very skilled one at that,” HotMovies Director of Business Development James Cybert said. “We are expecting great things.”

Producers interested in talking with HotMovies studio reps, including Ownbey, can contact the studio team at (800) 611-MOVIE.
