Wash.-based Peekay Opens First 2 L.A.-area Stores

AUBURN, Wash. — Adult retailer Peekay Inc. has opened its first two A Touch of Romance stores in the Los Angeles area, one in Sherman Oaks, Calif., and the other in Tarzana, Calif.

Peekay Advertising and Event Coordinator Amy Bartnes told XBIZ that these two new stores are the first in the L.A. area. She also said the company has 21 locations in Washington and 14 in California.

The company will host grand openings for both stores Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, events that will include local vendor demonstrations and free product giveaways. The festivities are planned to last all day.

Peekay founder Phyllis Heppenstall said that with the new stores, the company will continue to show that it is the No. 1 retail choice for consumers.

“We are committed to our employees and our customer base to continue the amazing growth that we see possible in this industry,” Heppenstall said.

Heppenstall also said that A Touch of Romance stores are designed to provide shoppers a positive and unforgettable shopping experience by offering products designed to enhance the romance and sensuality in their lives.
