The eponymous Daisy is a former contract player for VideoTeam and is making the first of a planned six appearances with Cherry Boxxx under a non-exclusive contract.
The company, founded in 2003 by Beechum and former VCA sales vice president Allen Gold, focuses on new, younger talent between the ages of 18 and 25. In addition to employing the new technology, Cherry Boxxx will be changing its focus from gonzo-style filmmaking to the more theme-based wall-to-wall genre.
Another division of KBeech, Baby Doll Pictures, also will be shooting in hi-def starting with next week’s as-yet-untitled Teanna Kai project. “(Director) Rick Davis and Kevin Beechum looked at the footage from ‘Daisy’ and liked it so much that they decided to shoot everything from now on in hi-def,” Cherry Boxxx publicist Dr. X told XBiz.
Both imprints feature a lighter-edged form of hardcore, Dr. X said, but both will be spinning off “extreme” lines in the near future.
KBeech Video distributes its Cherry Boxxx and Baby Doll lines as well as the titles of Erotic Angel, Dreamland Video and Midnight Mayhem.
“Daisy’s a Dirty Little Girl” is slated for release in September.
