The class is open to people of all genders and sexual orientations, and preregistration is recommended, a representative said. The past three times she’s taught the class at Babeland, it has sold out.
In the class, Tristan will cover myths about anal sex; anal anatomy, including the importance of the G-spot and the prostate; basic preparation and hygiene; lubes, anal toys and safer sex; and anal penetration for beginners.
"The question and answer period is always the most fun for me," Taormino said. "It’s usually the time when we get to delve into more advanced techniques and topics."
After the workshop, she will sign copies of "The Expert Guide to Anal Sex" as well as other titles from "The Expert Guide" series, her sex education line for Vivid-Ed.
“I am thrilled with all the positive feedback we’ve been getting about the new Vivid-Ed line. It’s been selling really well at Babeland as well as other sex-positive stores around the country,” Taormino said.
The line debuted with the anal sex title in April and the most recent offering, "The Expert Guide to Oral Sex Part 2: Fellatio," was released this month.
