Spartacus Sales and Marketing Coordinator Alice Beckett told XBIZ that each whip, 10 inches long and made of high-quality leather, is great for entry-level bondage players, and those whose tastes may not be as hardcore as others.
"A Mini Whip's small size makes it a good first whip for the entry-level and non-kinky customer," Beckett said. "More experienced users will see this whip as an extra little treat for the toy bag."
Spartacus President Stephen Bergquist said the company figured that the best way it could offer customers a lower-priced leather whip made with the same quality as its other whips was to merely use the same material, just less of it — and the Mini Whip was born.
"That way, we maintain our quality standard while offering a more affordable product," Bergquist said.
The four whips are packaged and colored to match Spartacus' existing Blackline, Pinkline, Redline and purple Crave lines.
The Spartacus Mini Ships sell at a wholesale price of $8.33 and retail for $16.75.
