Shane’s World Runs College Hottie Contest

LOS ANGELES — The studio that’s famous for bringing porn stars to college campuses to party with students is looking for the hottest co-ed to feature in a future video.

Candidates to be the first-ever Shane’s World College Hottie must be women between the ages of 18 and 24 and enrolled in a college or university.

A promo on the company’s website declares, “If you have a kick-ass personality, a great sense of style and love attention … then we want you!”

Entrants are asked to submit non-nude photos along with their name, age, school and phone number.

The winner will receive $10,000, paid out in two lump sums over a three-month period, to spend on whatever she wants, provided she is willing to appear naked in a Shane’s World “College Invasion” video.

“If Paris Hilton was willing to get freaky, you gotta at least get naked,” the promo states.

The winner also must make herself available for promotional appearances. Five runners-up will receive Apple iPods.

College porn has been a growing trend, with students at both Boston University and Harvard launching adult-oriented publications.

But some colleges and universities have started cracking down on what they say is a violation of student conduct policies.

In March, the entire national fraternity of Phi Kappa Tau was suspended after a chapter at California State University, Chico, allegedly participated in a Shane’s World shoot.

The following month, administrators at several Michigan colleges in April warned students that participating in gay porn shoots for Midewestbois.com, an adult site that had been recruiting on campuses for months, would result in disciplinary action.

Shane's World media relations representative Nicole Henderson told XBiz that the company requires signed releases proving that all participants at shoots involving colleges to be over 18. She also said that her company receives hundreds of letters each week from college students wanting to take part in content shoots.
