Deputy Minister Pavel Pozhigaylo told Russian news outlet Interfax that the bill is not yet ready but likely will be ready for review in the fall.
"I think in October or November we’ll be ready to propose it as our own initiative or if we manage to agree over the conception, to include it into the plan of Russian government legislative activities for 2008," Pozhigaylo said.
He said the bill would ban adult content from being manufactured in buildings used for education, health care or child-related services, and all content must be free of images of minors, state symbols or public places.
Availability of adult content would be restricted to specialized and licensed shops and would be regulated on the Internet. Pozhigaylo did not specify how online adult content would be restricted.
