GAYVN Sponsors Gay Webmasters Retreat

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — GAYVN, which will host the Annual GAYVN Summit in February to coincide with the GAYVN Awards, is announcing the first ever GAYVN Webmasters Retreat, to be held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, Calif. Oct 25 – 27.

Aiming to bring together gay webmasters and their affiliated partners, the show will feature seminars, networking, after-hours social events and other special events.

"While studios may send a representative to conferences like Internext or the Phoenix Forum, studio heads, videographers, and marketing teams seldom have interaction with the webmasters and affiliates who are promoting their content,” NakedSword.com President Tim Valenti said.

The first-time event was conceived with the idea of bringing members from every sector of the gay adult industry together to meet and expand potential business connections.

“AVN, along with some of our major partners and our GAYVN Advisory Committee, decided that it would be very beneficial for the gay community to have two very strategic conferences a year to address their business needs directly,” vice president and publisher of GAYVN and vice president of business relations for AVN Chad Beecher told XBIZ.

“A show with specific focus toward that market, including seminars, social events and networking opportunities will deliver more of what the gay community is looking for,” Beecher said.

Beecher also expects to see many members of the gay adult video community at the show.

“It is very important to them to have this specific forum to further their online business objectives,” he said.

Sponsors include Channel 1 Releasing, Cybersocket, NakedSword.com, Klixxx.com, YNOT.com and The Adult Broker.
