Roy Karch Productions Makes Debut With Sinsation

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Sinsation Pictures has been inked as exclusive distributor of Roy Karch Productions' first two titles: "Milfology" streeting Aug. 8 and story-driven feature "Insertz" Sept. 12.

Karch told XBIZ that he had been watching the Sinsation label for a while after he made the decision to produce his own content under the Roy Karch Productions label, and said he knew that he'd have to make a distribution deal in order to get his new product out to the public.

"They make lovely, lovely boxcovers," Karch said, "and are known for storyline-driven features, and that's what I'm known for. Everything I've done, I've written."

Plus, Karch added, Sinsation is exclusively distributed by Wicked Pictures, another high-quality, high-class company.

"I got the pros on this one," Karch said. "I'm able to get [my product] out to the public the way I need it. And they're nice people — for me it's important to be around the right people."

Karch said "Milfology" is a six-scene vignette movie shot in HD and features true MILFs — "These are not 22-year-old single girls," he said. The film stars Daryl Hanah, Monique DeMoan in her comeback role and Linda Roberts, among others.

"Insertz" is a fully scripted feature, Karch said, and is based on the 1976 Richard Dreyfus film "Inserts." The film, based in the 1930s, follows a "boy wonder" director of inserts, racy scenes filmed to accompany tamer Hollywood features to appeal to the European market.

Karch said "Insertz" follows a similar plotline.

The film stars Aurora Snow, Nicole Sheridan, Mika Tan and then-industry newcomer Paulina James.

Karch also said he shot extra content for the web and is accepting offers for video-on-demand and pay-per-view distribution online.

"After so many years of working for all the other companies, and working with all the other companies, it's time for me to get a piece of mine," Karch said.

Sinsations owner Paul Marco said it was an easy decision to work with Karch.

"It was a no-brainer for us," he said. "An AVN and XRCO Hall of Fame director with a track record that doesn't quit — nothing to think about."
