Maleflixxx.tv Released in Multiple Languages

TORONTO - Gay video-on-demand site Maleflixxx.tv is now customized for surfers who speak German and French, as well as English. In addition, parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution announced plans for the site to expand its localized translation to Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese surfers in the near future.

“It was obvious to us that to provide the best quality experience to our customers, we needed to speak their language,” Sureflix President Eric Johnson told XBiz. “Other sites allow for visitors to toggle back and forth between languages, but we try to make Maleflixxx.tv as seamless as possible.”

Johnson said that most browsers pointing to Maleflixxx.tv will automatically set the language for a surfer, but icons representing country flags on the site will allow non-English speakers to quickly choose their language if their browser doesn’t do it for them.

The database-driven site is reusable in most languages, Johnson said. After a successful test-marketing to French-speaking Quebec since November, Sureflix then made Maleflixxx readable in German.

“The German market, which is under-served, will take off,” Johnson said. He admitted that content surfers from other countries can browse for what they want on sites written in other languages, but that a native translation is much easier. “People will take whatever they can get,” he said. “But our advantage is that now they can browse in a familiar language.”

Maleflixxx.tv is the four-year-old Toronto company’s flagship site. Sureflix also sponsors a TV station called Maleflixxx Television.
