Hustler claims that “Barely Legal” “is the bestselling video line ever created.” “Barely Legal” is an award-winning series and director Clive McLean has been inducted into a porn hall of fame. The series began in 2000.
The premise of the popular series is simple: The Larry Flynt production skirts laws that forbid minors from appearing in adult videos by featuring young women who are 18 years old and up performing sex acts that include double penetrations. Hence the series’ apropos title, “Barely Legal.” Hustler ballyhoos its legal age of consent teen talents as “natural girls” who are “innocent.”
The videos have proven to be a launching pad for teenagers entering the adult industry.
