Sex Boat Cruise Creates Waves in Cyprus

NICOSIA, Cyprus — Sex cruises off the coast of Cyprus in the Mediterranean are becoming quite the rage, but officials are concerned and may make arrests.

Vacationers are suspected of sex acts aboard The Fantasy Boat Party, a cruise that is billed as “a must for anyone coming to Ayia Napa who are out for a fun and crazy night.”

The Fantasy Boat Party offers short cruises from the Ayia Napa resort in southeast Cyprus, but the lure is sex.

Once aboard, the operators offer cocktails, party games “with a bang” and male strippers “to get the women hot.” They also offer bananas and melons for sex play.

But now officials are planning to make arrests after an explicit film was shown on local television. Nude vacationing passengers, mainly British but some Scandinavian, were photographed indulging in sex acts.

"These scenes are not just graphic, they go beyond every conceivable limit,” Ayia Napa Police Chief Sotiris Haralambous said. “We are talking total debauchery."

Police, however, may have difficulties attempting to make arrests of passengers of the $55 per passenger boat party — all the sex acts occurred in international waters.
