SexLikeReal Debuts 'Tech Explainer' Series With Deep Dive Into Passthrough

LOS ANGELES — SexLikeReal is launching "Tech Explainer," a recurring series of posts unpacking the technology behind its VR platform.

The first post tackles Passthrough, the feature that uses a headset's cameras to place a performer inside the viewer's room instead of a virtual one.

SexLikeReal runs two versions — Native Passthrough, shot on a green/blue screen for the sharpest depth and realism, and AI Passthrough, which segments standard scenes in real time to bring the effect to more content and more devices.
