MIAMI — YourVids has rolled out YourFans, a service that allows creators to design customizable subscription tiers, from which they receive 100% of the revenue.
“YourFans is designed to look and feel like the creator, not like the platform,” said a rep. “Creators build their own tiers, name them whatever they want, choose what their members are called, and decide exactly what unlocks at each level. Members-only videos, early access, free photosets, private posts, free messaging, a members-only channel, member promo codes, and a badge that follows fans across the site are all switched on tier by tier, by the creator, in whatever combination fits their page.”
YourVids co-founder Gino enthused about the service.
“Subscriptions have been sold to creators as one shape that everybody has to squeeze into,” he said. “We are not building another version of that. YourFans lets a creator decide what a membership means on their page, what their fans are called, what unlocks at each level, and what the whole thing feels like to belong to.
“A fan who subscribes is not buying a file; they are buying a relationship with one specific creator,” he continued. “So the experience should look and sound like that creator, right down to the badge next to a fan's name and the GIFs they get to use. And the creator keeps 100% of it, because recurring income only changes a creator's life if they actually get to keep it.”
