Screw Publisher Phil Italiano Launches Adult Film Review Club on OnlyFans

NEW YORK — Phil Italiano, publisher of Screw, has launched a private adult film review circle on OnlyFans, creating a structured space for audience feedback and ongoing discussion of adult films.

Founded in 1968, Screw was the first U.S. publication to publish critical reviews of adult films. The new review circle will build on that tradition by using a subscription-based platform to support weekly, discussion-focused film evaluation, with attention to performance, direction, concept, and execution.

Members will participate in weekly review cycles, offering feedback through guided discussion and polling. Insights drawn from these responses will inform broader editorial coverage and establish the group's "Peter Meter" rankings, with an emphasis on identifying patterns, emerging talent, and notable work.

"This is the rebirth of Screw's original mission in 1968," said Italiano. "Watching adult films critically and taking audience opinion seriously isn’t new. This is just a more efficient and organized way to do it."

The first film to be reviewed will be announced on March 1, and founding members are currently being accepted at a discounted rate. Studios interested in having films reviewed may participate at no cost.
