“Throw everything you have at me.”
That was three-time XMAs Gay Performer of the Year Derek Kage’s response when NakedSword’s Ben Rush first pitched him the concept for “Ten Out of Ten: Derek’s First Gonzo Gangbang.”
Recalls Kage, “He was like, ‘Do you think you’ll be able to do it?’ And I’m like, ‘Let’s go!’”
Rush, who serves double duty as the studio’s co-chief content officer and chief creative marketing officer, says he’d been waiting for “just the right time and the right tops” to deliver something that would pack a bigger wallop than your standard gangbang.
He seems to have chosen well. NakedSword kicked off 2026 with the multipart rollout, which is already ranking among the studio’s top-performing releases. In fact, another installment is already in the works, this time around featuring studio regular Heath Halo.
For Rush, it was a matter of keeping his word.
“I promised them boundary-pushing event gangbangs,” he tells XBIZ. “Derek and Heath were both eager to up the stakes, so we put our — ahem — heads together to come up with a blowout movie that features a cumulative 16 double penetrations, a triple penetration, and the first time Derek and Heath have taken fists in their asses.”
“The movie is bursting at the seams,” Rush adds. “And I hope fans are too.”
Asked how he prepared for the intensity of an extreme gangbang, Kage attests that while the marathon performance required an athlete’s sense of pacing and control, it wasn’t something he “prepared” for in the traditional sense.
“People ask, ‘Oh, did you train?’” Kage says with a mischievous smile. “But I’ve always been a slut, so I naturally just gravitated toward that.”
The Gang’s All Here
According to Kage, his fellow cast members were equally jazzed about the project.
“Everybody working on this was ready,” he says. “You’ve got me and nine of the most professional guys doing our thing.”
Those “professional guys” being Halo, Tony Genius, Brogan, Ty Santana, Colt Spence, Alex Kof, Miles Fallon, Chris Damned and Dio Ferrero.
“It was such a diverse group,” Kage marvels. “You had really tall guys, shorter guys, muscular guys, thinner guys. Latino, Black, white.”
The caliber of the cast exceeded Kage’s expectations — especially considering his characteristically blunt reply when Rush had asked “What’s your type?”
“I just said, ‘A dick and a pulse,’” Kage laughs. “As long as those two things exist, I can work with it.”
Once the performers were assembled, he attests, everybody was good to go.
“All they had to do was just let us fly, and we created so much good stuff,” Kage says. “Ben told us generally what he wanted to see and what he wanted to include, but I think because we were doing so well and everything looked so hot, he just kind of let us go.”
“He would just say, ‘Yep, this is good,’” Kage recalls. “‘Let’s just get different camera angles, but keep going!’”
Of course, even amidst general spontaneity, shooting double and triple penetration requires at least some planning.
“We had to play with the logistics first, before we were rolling,” affirms Kage. “It’s dick Tetris!”
Then there was the much-remarked-upon scene where Kage is spun around on a lazy Susan while being taken from different directions by his co-stars. Did all that spinning make him dizzy?
“In gymnastics, when they’re trying to balance on something, they have to focus on one thing,” Kage explains. “They would spin me and I would kind of lose my bearings for a second — but I didn’t get dizzy because I had a constant point of focus and something I could grab.”
“The one thing I was focusing on was dick,” he declares. “Dick was the point of focus of the entire thing.”
At the end of the shoot, Kage found himself stretched out on the floor — exhausted, satisfied and smiling.
“All the guys walked away and I was just lying on the ground in a puddle of sweat,” he remembers. “They were like, ‘Derek, do you need anything?’ And I was like, ‘No. I’m doing great.’”
“I would call it being ‘dick drunk,’” he muses. “Where I’m just so overwhelmed, but I feel wonderful. I’m so happy.”
Passing the Baton
When offered the chance to shoot the second “Ten Out of Ten” installment, Heath Halo didn’t hesitate.
“It’s something I have always wanted in my personal life,” he admits. “I think every little gay boy dreams of that kind of moment.”
Originally, Halo envisioned a locker-room fantasy. However, as he and Rush developed the idea, it gradually transmuted into something different — but equally exciting to both.
“Ben was like, ‘What if you’re inviting these dudes to come eat you alive?’” Halo recalls. “‘Let’s get this nice house and turn them loose on you.’ Then we thought about different ways we could serve me up as if I was a dish.”
Halo nearly got to shoot his own lazy Susan scene, but the plan didn’t quite pan out.
“My ass was too big for it,” he laughs.
Halo did prepare a bit more intentionally for his scene than Kage had done.
“Fantasy is one thing,” he explains. “But being in it can be a bit of a sensory overload. So right before, I prepared with a little bit of meditation — and Sir Peter’s dildo. What else can get you that opened up?”
The lineup included some returning performers from Kage’s scene: Spence, Genius, Kof and Kage himself. The day of the shoot, Halo made sure to connect with his co-stars before the cameras started rolling.
“There were a lot of very popular, very well-known stars in that room,” Halo affirms. “And a few new faces. But I knew everybody there. I hadn’t worked with everyone, but I had either been around them or on set with them.
“I got to spend time with each guy and talk to them about what I wanted, and what they wanted,” he adds. “So everything was safe, prepared and consensual.”
Like Kage, Halo cites the group dynamic as a defining factor in creating the right atmosphere, supporting strong performances and transforming what could have been overwhelming into something that flowed naturally.
Once the shoot began, Halo says, it felt intense but never chaotic.
“That was one of the fastest scenes I’ve ever filmed,” he says. “We just powered through. We were moving and grooving.”
Kage especially enjoyed reversing roles with Halo.
“He has such an inviting ass,” Kage enthuses. “I love to be the ringleader in a gangbang because I know that there needs to be no free hands and every hole needs to have a dick in it. There were a couple of times where I noticed Heath’s mouth was open and I was like, ‘You go over there and put your dick in his mouth!’ I got into that mode of, ‘We’re going to overwhelm this man. We are going to keep him fed.’”
Kage recalls being immediately impressed by Halo’s professionalism the first time the pair ever worked together, several years ago.
“The minute he stepped on set, it was like, ‘Oh, we’re good, I don’t have to take him by the hand and do anything,’” Kage remembers. “Like, ‘He’s ready and he’s going to be great.’”
For Halo, the feeling is absolutely mutual.
“I love that guy,” he says of Kage. “Anything he does is amazing. Something about his aura… it just makes everything feel calm.”
After such an intense shoot, Halo says, his recovery was surprisingly seamless.
“I thought I was going to be walking funny for a few days,” he admits. “But no, I was good. Everything snapped right back.”
First Fists
As for the third installment of “Ten Out of Ten,” that will come to fruition as a stand-alone extended release including footage from both Kage and Halo’s first fisting experiences during their respective gangbangs.
While no stranger to extreme acts on camera, Kage says that particular act came with its own learning curve.
“Fisting is not really my thing,” he admits. “I can take just about as many dicks as you can throw at me, but a fist? It’s kind of a lot. But then I thought, ‘You know what? I’m the three-time XMAs Gay Performer of the Year! Let’s roll. Find whoever has the smallest hand, and I’m in.’”
Likewise, Halo is excited for audiences to see his first fisting.
“There was supposed to be a big fisting finale,” Halo explains. “While I wasn’t able to do it like Derek, it did go in — and I am excited about who it was. I loved the struggle to get it in, with all these guys surrounding me and cheering, ‘Yeah, take it!’”
There’s no other footage out there of Halo doing anything like that, he emphasizes.
“There’s plenty of me having sex, sucking dick and taking dick,” he says. “But me getting fisted is very exclusive.”
“Ten Out of Ten: Derek’s First Gonzo Gangbang” is currently available on NakedSword, Halo’s edition of “Ten Out of Ten” is set for a two-part, mid-March release and “Fist First Editions” is scheduled for a March release on Fisting Central.
