Pineapple Support to Host 'ADHD-Friendly' Support Group

Pineapple Support to Host 'ADHD-Friendly' Support Group

LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support is hosting a free online support group for performers with ADHD.

The six-week “ADHD-Friendly: 30 Days to Befriend Your Inner Critic” will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. Jena Field and begins Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. (EDT). Sessions will last approximately ninety minutes and will take place Mondays through Nov. 10.

“Many of us see our inner critic as an enemy to be silenced, but that only reinforces shame and self-doubt,” said Field. “This group will reframe the inner critic as a misunderstood ally. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we’ll explore ways to challenge negative self-beliefs, build an inner support system, and access calm and strength when it’s needed most.”

Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit added, “Performers with ADHD face unique challenges, especially around self-criticism and managing emotions. This group offers a supportive, research-backed space to transform those challenges into opportunities for self-compassion and growth. I’m grateful to Dr. Field for providing this vital support to our community.”
