LOS ANGELES — Digital Playground has debuted multi-XMAs winner Ricky Greenwood's new action feature, "Deadly Vows."
The title stars Ryan Reid, Elly Clutch, Yhivi, Ricky Johnson, JMac, Scott Nails, Isiah Maxwell, Damon Dice, Mazee, Keiran Lee, Jenna Haze, and Mike Horner.
“Sarah (Reid) is betrayed and left for dead by boyfriend Fred (Johnson) and sister Ellen (Clutch), who are secretly engaged,” the synopsis reveals. “Sarah is discovered by Miller Six, a kung fu master, who helps her recover, train and plot her revenge. Once she’s ready, Sarah teams up with Christie and Smoke (Yhivi and Nails) to take down Ellen’s gang (JMac, Maxwell, Dice, and Mazee) on the wedding day. Bullets, blades, and fists fly in the ultimate showdown.”
Greenwood enthused about the production.
“‘Deadly Vows’ was a long process,” he said. “Everyone put in months of hard work. It was my first time writing in five years, so it really felt like a comeback. Everyone on the team gave it their all, from the camera crew to set design, costumes, editing, and VFX. On the acting side, Ryan Reid was incredible; she trained for months and totally committed to the role. Elly Clutch was the perfect balance to Ryan, and together they brought something really special to the screen. Honestly, this project felt like a dream from start to finish.”
Reid praised the production.
“I’ve always admired the incredible productions Ricky’s created, and I wasn’t sure if I could rise to that level,” she said. “Hearing that the project would involve months of training before filming made me even more nervous, but I knew if I committed fully and gave it everything I had, I wouldn’t let anyone down. ‘Deadly Vows’ isn’t just another film; it’s something special, and I'm honored to have been a part of bringing it to life.”
Added Clutch, “‘Deadly Vows’ has been one of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever been a part of; it inspired me a lot — especially seeing so many incredible people come together to create something as unique and next level. I’m excited for my fans to see me in a type of role I’ve never played before.”
Part one of "Deadly Vows" is streaming on Digital Playground.
