LOS ANGELES — SBJ/TAF has named John Lyons as its vice president of sales and store standards, and Dave McDaniel as buyer for its Adam & Eve stores.
Lyons joined Adam & Eve as store manager in Denver and advanced to the regional manager position. McDaniel also began with the company as a manager in Denver; in early April, he was promoted to buying assistant.
“John has consistently proven himself to be a trusted leader and an integral part of our growth,” says SBJ CEO Kraig McGee. “He understands our vision for excellence, drives results through accountability and clear expectations, and leads with both passion and precision. Elevating him to VP of Sales and Store Standards was a natural decision, and I’m confident that under his leadership, our stores will continue to thrive and evolve.”
Lyons enthused about the new position.
“This opportunity is more than just a promotion; it's a chance to help shape the future of a company I deeply believe in,” he said. “I got my start in this industry as a sales assistant at Pipedream, where I was fortunate to be mentored by the CEO, Nick Orlandino, who brought me into this business. That early experience taught me the importance of listening, staying adaptable, and always putting the customer first — principles that align perfectly with TAF’s core values of community, fun, adaptability, integrity, customer-centricity, respect, and quality.”
Added McDaniel, “As I step into the role of Buyer at TAF Distributing, I’m excited to bring my passion for thoughtful curation and my commitment to quality into everything we do. I’m focused on building strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers to ensure we’re always offering our customers the best products — both in terms of style and value. I believe in staying ahead of trends while remaining true to the unique spirit of our company, and I’m eager to contribute to our brand’s continued growth and success.”
