Pineapple Support to Host 'Eating Disorders' Support Group

LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support is hosting a free online support group for performers and creators struggling with eating disorders.

The six-week “Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating” support group will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Claire Fountain and begins Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. (PST). The group is "for performers dealing with eating-related issues and body image concerns," said a rep.

Sessions will last approximately one hour and will take place Tuesdays through Jan. 14.

“Whether you’re experiencing an eating disorder or struggling with body image, this group is a chance to find support, community, and understanding,” said Fountain. “We’ll work together to build a healthier relationship with food and body, focusing on support and shared resources to foster healing and self-acceptance.”

Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit added, “Healing our relationship with food and body image is an important part of mental wellness. This support group will offer individuals a compassionate and guided space to openly explore these challenges, with the support of our experienced therapists.”
