GSI Développement Reports Euro Certifications for AV Solution 'Go.cam'

MARSEILLE, France — France-based GSI Développement has reported it has received certification from two European regulating agencies for its open source age verification solution Go.cam.

The company stated that Go.cam has been certified by Germany’s KJM (Kommission für Jugendmedienschutz), the commission for youth media protection, and the U.K.’s ACC Scheme (Age Check Certification Scheme), a conformity assessment body accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

GSI Développement Marketing Director Marco Forastieri said, “At a time when more and more websites are being blocked for failing to comply with the legitimate demands of the market and regulators, Go.Cam offers a simple, robust solution now recognised by two of the most important regulators in Europe.”

GSI launched Go.cam earlier this year as open-source software under the AGPL license. It offers two age verification methods, facial recognition and identity document verification. According to the company, the AV solution “can be hosted by the relevant websites and retains its certifications as long as the open-source code is not modified; the AI runs on the user’s device without sharing any private data, ensuring double anonymity; and the certified AI acts as the trusted third party.”
