Tantum to Launch Payment, AV Solutions at Venus Berlin

VADUZ, Liechtenstein — New payment services provider Tantum will debut its payment solution, TantumPay, and its age verification solution, TantumIdent, at this year’s Venus Berlin, taking place Oct. 24-27.

TantumPay, developed specifically for high-risk industries, offers a payment solution for microtransactions without fixed fees, instead charging a percentage-based fee per transaction.

“This sets the company apart from traditional payment providers, which typically charge a fixed fee in addition to the percentage-based fee,” a rep said. “The solution enables platforms to operate more economically, particularly in the area of microtransactions, and to tap into new, data-sensitive target groups.”

Tantum will also debut age and identity verification solution TantumIdent.

“After a one-time identification process that takes just seconds and uses AI and machine-learning technology, customers can verify themselves with any service provider with just one click,” the rep explained.

The company, which focuses on but is not exclusive to EU countries, also offers Tantum Wallet, which, according to a rep, functions as "a digital identity that can be used anywhere and offers the highest security standards and nearly unlimited possibilities for verifying and paying for digital content."

According to Tantum, the company’s solutions are GDPR- and AML-compliant, under the supervision of the European Banking Authority (EBA).

CEO Dominik Hurum said, “We offer a legally compliant solution for all countries, including German KJM compliance. This gives our customers planning security and a clear competitive advantage. We developed TantumIdent and TantumPay to meet the need for a user-friendly solution. Data protection is our top priority and enables users to pay without revealing their identity, thus giving our customers access to a new target group that can pay anonymously.”
