Pineapple Support Launches Group for Suicide Survivors

LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support will host a free online support group, sponsored by LiveJasmin, to help performers who have been affected by or are survivors of suicide.

The six-week Survivors of Suicide support group will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Jaimi Martin and will begin Fridayat 2 p.m. (PDT).

“Grieving is difficult and grieving the loss of someone who died by suicide is that more complicated,” said Martin. “But you don’t have to grieve alone. In this 6-week support group, you will receive compassionate support while you work through this grief process, have space to discuss the complexities of loss by suicide, and learn strategies to cope.”

Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit added, “When you’ve lost someone to suicide, it’s vital to have community to help process what has happened. Pineapple was founded in the wake of profound losses like this, and I know how important it is to bring survivors together to heal. We’re deeply grateful to LiveJasmin for ensuring we can provide this crucial space for performers to connect.”

Sessions will last for around one hour and will take place online each Friday at the same time, until October 18.
