LELO Launches 'Masturbitter' Craft Beer to Promote Male Sex Talk

STOCKHOLM — LELO has partnered with Great Beyond Brewing Company to launch Masturbitter, a craft beer, to encourage men to discuss sex.

"While conversations among women about sexual pleasure, masturbation and sex toys are becoming less taboo, new LELO research reveals quite the opposite for me," said a rep. "Almost half of British men (46%) have used a male sex toy — either solo or with their partner — yet 59% would not even discuss the topic with male friends — and 20% dismissed the use of them as ‘weird.’"

U.K. Marketing and Communications Manager Jaydi Wilson-Jenkins enthused about the partnership.

"When it comes to men, we know they are purchasing sex toys for their own pleasure at high volumes, with F1S V2 being one of our best-selling products in the U.K. However, our research shows that men in the U.K. are embarrassed to open up to their friends on the same topics for fear of ridicule, showing there is still more work to be done to remove the stigma and perception that using sex toys is 'weird,'" she said. "We hope that our partnership with Great Beyond Brewing Company will directly put the conversation in men’s hands and encourage them to open up about their use of sex toys and male pleasure without any shame or embarrassment over a pint."
