BEND, Ore. — Holistic Wisdom has released a guide on the safety of elastomer sex toys.
“Elastomer sex toys have gotten a bad rap in the sex toy industry for possibly containing toxicants, being porous, and harboring bacteria, mold, fungi, and viruses,” a rep said. “Many consumers want to know if they are bad for their health and if they should purchase them.”
Dr. Lisa Lawless, Holistic Wisdom CEO and the author of the guide addressed these concerns.
"There is so much misinformation out there about elastomers such as TPE, TPR, TPO, and vinyl (PVC), and others,” she said. “That is why we worked with chemists to put together a factual resource so that people can better understand the realities of them."
