LOS ANGELES — Holistic Wisdom has published a new guide addressing controversies that have stemmed from the passage of restrictive bathroom bills in states such as Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama.
According to a rep, the guide "helps educate on the complexity of sexual identity and physical genitalia. It highlights the many factors that influence it, including chromosomes, hormones and secondary sex characteristics."
It also addresses the issue of bathroom use for transgender and nonbinary individuals, as well as how to identify sexual predators.
The author, Dr. Lisa Lawless, said of the guide, "In this volatile time in our history, it is never more important to be educated about sex education, which includes gender issues as well as sexual assault. When we speak on such matters, we should do so based on scientific facts, as anything less is a disservice to humanity."
