PinkLabel.TV Streaming 'Godmother of Feminist Porn' Candida Royalle's Early Films

SAN FRANCISCO — Feminist porn pioneer Candida Royalle's early films have been released on Pink & White Productions' PinkLabel.TV streaming service.

Royalle, hailed as the "Godmother of Feminist Porn," passed away in 2015. To coincide with March being Women's History Month, eight of the films she produced have been made available for streaming on PinkLabel.TV.

"Her work was groundbreaking in that it prioritized women's fantasies and pleasure in a style that was radically different from popular adult media at the time that was marketed strictly to heterosexual men," said a rep. "Her movies were story-based, with attention to acting and cinematography. They were promoted as films for couples, which had yet to be done in the adult industry, and invited women as viewers to proudly explore and celebrate their sexuality."

The available films are "FEMME" (1984), "Urban Heat" (1984), "Christine's Secret" (1986), "Three Daughters" (1986), "A Taste of Ambrosia" (1987), "Rites of Passion" (1987). "Sensual Escape" (1988), and "Revelations" (1993).

The collection is streaming on PinkLabel.TV; for more information about Royalle's life and work, visit CandidaRoyalle.org.
