Scarlett Jones: Rising UK Star Reflects on Blossoming Career

Before U.K. adult star Scarlett Jones blossomed into an award-winning performer with fast-growing stardom, she was raising the eyebrows of many a Catholic nun in her youth.

“I remember telling the nuns at my Catholic high school that I wanted to be a topless model,” she reflected with a grin. “So maybe my future has always been in the adult industry!”

In fact, she blames her Catholic high school girlfriends for her interest in the XXX biz, ever since their fateful trip to Amsterdam for her 18th birthday, when they went to see a strip show, as well as a live sex show.

“I remember looking at the performers and being in awe,” she said. “I got back to the U.K. and immediately found the nearest strip club, auditioned and the rest is history.”

Now, she has more than 750,000 followers across Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, while her OnlyFans has amassed over 200,000 likes.

As testament to both her indie and studio star power, this year she was crowned Best Rising Premium Social Media Star at the XBIZ Cam Awards in Miami and Best New Performer at the XBIZ Europa Awards in Berlin, where she also won Best Lesbian Sex Scene for her performance with Catherine Knight in Sex Art’s “Sirens.”

Setting her sights on U.S. shores for a big career move, Jones opens up about her life in this exclusive XBIZ interview.

XBIZ: How have you grown, personally and professionally, since entering the industry?

JONES: I’ve become much more confident. If I’m entering a stressful situation that makes me anxious, I now remind myself that I flew to Budapest mid-lockdown to have sex on camera in a room full of strangers, despite only ever having had sex with two people. It reminds me that if I can be brave enough to do that, I can do anything!

XBIZ: What are your primary revenue streams as far as studio shoots, indie content and more?

JONES: My primary revenue stream right now is actually OnlyFans. I’ve not shot professionally in Europe since May, as I’m working on getting my U.S. work Visa.

So I’ve been completely focusing on OnlyFans, which I’ve completely fallen in love with. I particularly love live shows; they’re a great way to interact with my fans and I’ve nurtured some great friendships with my subscribers.

XBIZ: How do you approach time management, given your many responsibilities?

JONES: I’ve actually been struggling. When doing studio shoots, it’s so easy to let OnlyFans take a back seat. But I genuinely love reading my messages on OnlyFans and easily spend an hour just replying to them and having a great time.

It’s hard to put my phone down as I love the interaction so much.

XBIZ: What studios bring out the best in you and what are a few releases you’re especially proud of?

JONES: All my fans already know I love working for Vixen Media Group. I’ve had seven releases for them this year already and they’re definitely some of my favorites.

I think my TushyRaw scene with Alberto Blanco is my favorite; I was so proud of my gapes!

XBIZ: Discuss your independent content. What do your fans respond to most?

JONES: My most popular independent content by far is anything where I’m talking. My most popular custom video request is always JOI.

I think this works so well for me because I also love talking dirty, as well as just having a general chat.

My fans love my honesty and how easily I let them into my genuine daily life. They’re currently helping me pick a name for my new car!

XBIZ: Tell us about your marketing strategies for keeping your followers engaged and growing your fan base.

JONES: Marketing-wise, I personally think TikTok is the best, followed by Twitter. I went viral on TikTok recently, over six million views, which I was not expecting at all, and my OnlyFans subscriptions skyrocketed immediately.

It’s great, as long as you carefully toe the line with their guidelines as it’s quite easy to get your account banned.

XBIZ: What was it like attending XBIZ Miami this year and winning the Rising Premium Social Media Star title?

JONES: XBIZ Miami was amazing! I had the best time. I love the weather in Florida and I’m surprised how many new Floridian fans I have gained since my visit.

Winning the award was spectacular; knowing my fans took the time to vote for me is also incredible. I’ll never take their support for granted, and I thank them daily.

XBIZ: Likewise, tell us about sharing your wisdom on panels at XBIZ Berlin and then being crowned Best New Performer.

JONES: XBIZ Berlin was so much fun. Being on the panel was great; I even told my grandad! Winning Best New Performer was unbelievable. I was up against incredible competition, so I really didn’t think I was going to win.

Being honest, I was worried — I still am — that I’m undeserving of the title in comparison to my peers. But everyone’s been so lovely to me, and I really appreciate that.

XBIZ: Talk about your career goals for the coming year.

JONES: My goals for next year are big. If I succeed, it’ll be the biggest achievement of my life so far.

If I’m able to get my U.S. work visa, I will begin working in the States! My amazing agent, Dave Rock, is helping me out and my American fans are absolutely going wild at the idea of me shooting porn out there.
