Maia Novelties Hires Industry Vets Melissa Lott, David Sohl for Sales Team

LOS ANGELES — Maia Novelties has added industry veterans Melissa Lott and David Sohl to its North American sales team.

Lott has been appointed novelty sales and training specialist, while Sohl was named sales support specialist.

Lott brings 31 years of industry experience to her new role. Most recently, she was owner-operator of the Adam & Eve adult store in East Palatka, Florida. Her new role will see her helping the sales team "secure new business, nurture current client relationships and travel North America to train retail store staff on Maia Novelties products," said a rep.

"Personally, I have always felt as if manufacturers should find a way to have a retail opinion on their team," Lott said. "I believe this gives them more insight into what consumers are looking for. Since Maia Novelties was one of my top-selling brands in my Adam & Eve store, I jumped at the opportunity to work with them."

Sohl has spent 15 years in the adult industry, with experience in web design, product development and sales management. In his new role, he will "provide support to sales staff and advise on special projects, and offer customer service and IT support," the rep continued.

"It’s been exciting to watch the growth of Maia Toys and I’m very excited to join the Maia family," Sohl said. "We share the same philosophy on providing a great customer experience, and the desire to continuously improve."
