DomCon New Orleans Launches 1st App

NEW ORLEANS — DomCon has released its first app for those attending its New Orleans convention running Thursday through Sunday this week.

DomCon New Orleans, noted a rep, “celebrates diversity in kink and promotes awareness through demonstrations, seminars, and panel discussions. The gatherings also act as a showcase for creators and performers from around the world to debut their latest talents to the kinky and curious public at large.”

Event attendees include Dominatrices, bondage and fetish models, webmasters, fetish photographers, performing artists, sex educators, leatherfolk and BDSM lifestyle people, among others.

The app will allow guests to have access to "real time announcements, sponsor links, vendor details and more," the rep explained. "Additionally, the app functions as a social network so that guests can add a profile, upload photos, send feedback on classes and communicate before and after the event."

The app was developed in response to feedback from prior attendees, said producer and DomCon Founder Mistress Cyan.

"We heard from our guests, and understand they needed easier access to DomCon resources. We are happy to launch out first app," they said. "It is easy to use. You can be aware of changes and updates at DomCon New Orleans in real time. We think this will be an amazing addition to our resources and tools."

Some of the scheduled events for DomCon New Orleans include the Second Line Parade on Saturday evening. The free parade honors professional Dominants and BDSM community members who have passed away each year. There will be a police escort, and a seven-piece jazz brass band.

The DomCon app can be downloaded here.
