JustFor.fans Tests QR Code in Fight Against Shadowbanning

LOS ANGELES — JustFor.fans (JFF) has announced the introduction of QR code technology, offering its members “a defense against internet bans on explicit adult content.”

“Currently testing in beta mode,” a rep explained, “the new online feature prioritizes user functionality while protecting the integrity of JFF subscribers’ exclusive content.”

Members can go to “Settings,” turn on “QR Code Embedding” and photo uploads will automatically be assigned a code that links to the JFF page containing the photo.

This link contains a source tracker so JFF models will be able examine their stats to find out how many people have visited their page via the QR code.

JFF Founder Dominic Ford explained that “while social media sites like Instagram allow sex workers to post [SFW] photos, they often take deceitful liberties such as shadowbanning — or outright banning — users who link to adult websites.”

While mainstream social sites “have every right to ban or hide adult content in compliance with their user guidelines,” he added, JFF remains “dedicated to finding supportive solutions to optimize its members’ content within the online space.”

“Now that the latest iOS can read QR codes embedded in images, the images themselves can now link back to JFF,” Ford continued. “This is a good way to stay compliant with SFW social media sites, while simultaneously being able to link users to your JFF page."
