LOS ANGELES — Free Speech Coalition (FSC) will host the fifth and final webinar in FSC INSPIRE’s "Life as a Sex Worker" series, sponsored by Chaturbate, on Thursday, November 4, at 11 a.m. (PDT).
The panel, moderated by FSC Industry Relations Advocate Lotus Lain, will focus on navigating the difficulty around coming out as a sex worker to family and friends.
An FSC rep noted that six performers — Jiz Lee, Stoya, London River, Prince Jean, Sai Jaiden Lillith and Izzy Lush — will join Lain to share their experiences on coming out about their sex work, how it’s been received by family and friends and how they dealt with the reactions.
“The holidays are coming up and this time period inevitably puts sex workers in a precarious position of having to disclose our adult work to prying friends and family,” Lain said. “We hope that some of the stories shared in this panel can help other sex workers navigate this stressful situation. Our ‘The Life as a Sex Worker’ series is designed to help our community deal with life issues off set that aren’t usually talked about.”
Each panel in the series — the first panel, “Life As A Sex Worker: Parenting”; second panel “Online Dating Without Losing Your Sanity”; third panel “Life as a SW: Career Longevity”; and fourth panel “Life as a SW: What I Wish I Knew 2” — are all currently available on the FSC YouTube channel.
