Cherie DeVille Writes 2 Op-Eds on Current 'War on Porn'

LOS ANGELES — Twice-crowned and reigning XBIZ "MILF Performer of the Year" Cherie DeVille penned two op-eds on sex workers' rights published this weekend by the Daily Beast and Mashable, respectively.

“With the frequent attacks on sex work and sex workers, it's no wonder Cherie wants her voice to be heard,” said a rep.

On Friday, the Daily Beast published "Why Does The New York Times Hate Porn So Much?" where DeVille opined on the regular attacks on sex work and the many false connections to sex trafficking. DeVille pointed out the fallacies in the New York Times latest op-ed, bringing down the myths perpetrated by the article's author, supposed “feminist” scholar Catharine MacKinnon.

Continuing on that theme, DeVille was featured on Mashable this Saturday, during their “Porn Week” series of articles, with her piece, "How to Support Sex Trafficking Survivors Without Harming Consenting Sex Workers."

DeVille explained how sex trafficking is a very real issue, but again warned against conflating it, as religiously inspired anti-porn groups routinely do, with legal pornography. DeVille wanted readers to know that there are many ways to support actual victims of trafficking.

"It's clear that the attacks on consenting sex work are growing and getting more mainstream traction," DeVille said. "I know I have name recognition, so I feel it's my responsibility to make the voices of sex workers heard. Thank you, Daily Beast and Mashable, for allowing me to express my knowledge on the industry that I love."
