BIPOC Collective Announces Social Media Marketing Webinar

LOS ANGELES — The Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) Collective, formerly known as the BIPOC Adult Industry Collective, has announced the launch of its fall webinar series, starting with "Social Media Marketing for Content Creators" on Thursday, September 9, at 4 p.m. (PDT).

"In an increasingly competitive digital market, rife with censorship and the threat of being de-platformed, content creators of color face uncertainty across social media, making it challenging to drive traffic to paid premium platforms," explained a rep. "This course will help creators develop content that illustrates their brand story and connects them with their target audience. Creators must leverage their digital presence to engage with their audiences, turning casual fans into paying subscribers."

The BIPOC Collective was founded to help address racism in adult entertainment, by providing education and support services for BIPOC workers within the adult industry. It is a fiscally sponsored project of the Peace Development Fund, a 501(c)(3) public foundation.

According to the rep, the workshop will "break down how to create a content plan that creates active engagers." The session will be run by content creator and social media marketer Destinee Wright, who is described as "a sex worker, artist and entrepreneur whose work amplifies voices from marginalized communities and impacts equity. She works with small businesses, nonprofits, grassroots organizations and content creators to provide consulting services, content curation and social media strategies that connect brands with their communities."

"She'll share some of the tools she uses to create content strategies for her clients to increase brand awareness," added the rep. "Topics to be discussed include establishing a brand, creating better profiles, increasing engagement, content creation and planning."
