Sx Tech 2020 Berlin Conference Announces 'Sx Tech Academy'

BERLIN — Organizers of Sx Tech 2020 conference on November 20 have announced "Sx Tech Academy," a subsection of the daylong conference featuring sexual wellness professionals discussing a range of topics from integrating sex toys and audio erotics into therapy to the possibilities of body exploration and sex-ed via virtual reality.

The "Sx Tech Academy" experts include Cathline Smoos, clinical psychologist and VR sexologist; Avril Louise Clarke (aka SexologyGirl), clinical sexologist and sex educator; Sigga Dögg, Icelandic sexologist and stand-up comedian; Camille Bataillon, clinical sexologist and co-founder of the Love Health Center; and Helen Hagemeier, couples and sex therapist, occupational therapist for psychiatry and hypnosis therapist.

Meet Kokeshi

Sx Tech 2020 will also feature "a unique opportunity to interact with Kokeshi," a rep explained. "More than just a silicone pleasure doll, Kokeshi provides a sophisticated environment tailored to meet the client’s desires without shame or stigma. Created by three creatives from the film and design industry FunFairFilms, Kokeshi is the intersection of sex work, education and sophisticated physical and digital mise en scene."

Meet With Startup Founders

"While conferences — one of the best places to acquire partnerships — are shutting down or being postponed, Sx Tech is offering a rare chance for venture capitalists and investors to meet startups face-to-face," noted the rep. "The sextech startup founders that will be present at the event were handpicked by Sx Tech for their innovative approach and outstanding products."

The entrepreneurs include:

  • Ioba Toys, the creators of the first silent G-Spot Massager
  • iPlaySafe App, an app designed to securely track and share sexual health status
  • Lover.io, a digital platform focused on improving people's sex lives
  • MysteryVibe, creators of the researched, doctor-endorsed, award-winning products, services and content to make sexual health accessible to all.
  • Beducated, asex education platform for adults and more

"Technology holds a tremendous potential to transform the way we view and engage in sex and sexual wellness," said the rep. "However, it is up to us to develop it sustainably into a judgment-free space for everyone. Sx Tech conference was created to bridge the gap between tech innovation and sex industries and to destigmatize the industry by refocusing on the topics of sexual self-care, wellness, intimacy and education with the help of emerging technologies."
