Stripchat Launches 'Anal-ytics' Video Recognition Tech

NEW YORK — Stripchat is touting the launch of "Anal-ytics," described as the industry's first video recognition technology trained to detect "butt sex," a popular search term on the site, when it is occurring in a live feed and to queue any verified streams into relevant searches.

"We’re incredibly excited to introduce this technology that will allow [users] to more easily find the content for which they’re in the mood,” said Max Bennett, Stripchat's VP of new media. “Tube sites have been able to do this for years with porn because it’s pre-recorded, but this is the first time that live videos will be sorted into specific categories based on what’s happening during the stream. There’s just something special about knowing your favorite cam model is doing butt stuff in that very moment so that you can jump straight into the action."

A rep described the company's efforts to train their machine learning algorithm to recognize when live scenes include anal sex.

"Stripchat’s team of developers reviewed tens of thousands of images and videos, marking instances where anal is present in a scene," the rep explained. "This allowed the team to establish a convolutional neural network that allows the AI to perceive a typical scenario for a given scene. For example, if the AI detects a live video where penis is next to something that looks like a butt hole, it will automatically register it as an anal scene."

The tech has been in beta development for four months and will be made available to all Stripchat users worldwide today.

"In addition to users, the new feature will also be beneficial to the thousands of cam models who stream on Stripchat’s site," continued the rep. "By adding popular categories under which their streams can appear, their videos will receive more traffic and ultimately enable them to build up their fan base."

In the coming months, Stripchat plans to implement similar tech for live BDSM shows, squirting and fisting; a program to detect oral sex during livestreams is currently being tested.
