Magic Wand Distributor Vibratex Raises $6K in 'Pride Pin' Drive

NAPA, Calif. — Magic Wand's Pride Pin Drive has raised over $6,000 in donations to benefit California's LGBTQ Connection and Louisiana's Forum for Equality. Vibratex, official distributor of the Magic Wand Orginal, Magic Wand Plus and Magic Wand Rechargeable, offered a "unique and adorable" Pride pin and other prizes with a proof of donation from June 17 to 30.

"It was so uplifting to help facilitate support for two wonderful organizations, both of which are doing such important work," enthused Vibratex owner and VP Shay Martin. "We're so happy that enthusiasm for our wands helped work some magic in support of LGBTQ Connection and Forum for Equality."

Every $10 donation was matched by Vibratex and the donor received one Pride pin; a $15 donation was matched by the company and the donor receives one Pride pin and an additional pin of their choice. A $40 donation entitled the donor to one Pride pin and one Magic Wand Plus.

"Unsurprisingly, the $40 prize was the most popular option selected by donors," said Vibratex controller Nicole Rosselli. "It could’ve been the cuteness of our Pride pin or it could have been the opportunity to get a true Magic Wand Plus in the name of a good cause, but we think it was both."

The additional pin options included a Yoda-inspired design, a Wonder Woman figure and a "Game of Thrones" design. However, two additional picks provided most popular: designs inspired by "Star Wars" heroine Princess Leia and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

"People’s second pin choices also said a lot about the viability of women’s empowerment," Rosselli observed. "Our Leia- and Ruth Bader Ginsburg-inspired pins were easily the most popular second selections."

Those who donated to either LGBTQ Connection or Forum for Equality during the giveaway period may submit their proof of donation here through July 15 at 12 midnight (PDT).
