MerciFans Offers Full Commissions for Performers During Lockdown

LOS ANGELES — In support of the models, performers and sex workers harshly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, French social media platform MerciFans is offering content creators 100 percent of the revenue for every scene sold, every live show performed and every subscription registered to their profiles through the end of August.

“Due to lockdown, every craftsperson in the sex industry faces alarming professional and economic insecurity,” said a MerciFans rep. “More than ever, it has to be a time of solidarity.”

“MerciFans and its team know that they can count on a generous and welcoming community to go through this crisis with their head held high. Because, beyond charm, it’s social bonding that is at the heart of MerciFans experience,” the rep added. “Live chat, webcam, network news feeds and tutorials — everything is done to re-invent closeness at a time of social distancing. At any moment, creators have the opportunity to build privileged relations with their fans, by reserving photos, videos and updates for their subscribers while earning all the profit generated.”
