MANCHESTER, N.H. — Sssh.com will release performer-generated content as part of a new initiative to support homebound adult performers during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and production hold.
The announcement joins similar efforts from top studios Adult Time, Brazzers and Vixen Media Group. According to the company, performers will be paid per movie.
“The response has been excellent and everyone’s enthusiasm is so contagious,” said Sssh.com founder and director Angie Rowntree. “We already have a number of performers on-board, and many more have reached out.”
As she learned about the struggles of members of her own local sex worker community, Rowntree knew she wanted to help and provide a way for artists to continue to earn money.
“I reached out to well-known performers Peppermint and Dusty with the concept,” Rowntree revealed. “They have been instrumental in shaping the project and provided invaluable insight into the needs and preferences of people who create their own content.”
“We are very excited to be working with Sssh.com and Angie on this special project,” explained Peppermint and Dusty in a joint statement. “Since entering the adult industry, specifically camming on Chaturbate, our aim has been to show viewers the tender, intimate side of sex that’s not always represented in mainstream porn.”
“We respect and appreciate the ethics and aesthetic Sssh.com always presents in their productions,” the pair added. “It is an honor to be entrusted to carry out Angie’s vision to continue bringing her viewers new content while helping support adult performers during this challenging time.”
Sssh.com will handle all editing and other post-production needs to get the content ready for distribution both on their website and as a VOD/DVD series. All submissions must fit within the studio’s specified parameters, which will be clearly spelled out.
“To keep performers safe, and respect both the FSC’s production hold, as well as local and state social distancing and 'stay-at-home' directives, we are only working with partners who live in the same household,” Rowntree explained. “We have also established other ways to benefit a wider spectrum of adult performers, such as raising the payouts of our affiliate program for performing artists who refer traffic to Sssh.com and other SpiceCash sites. We are a community and we have to work together to get through this.”
