LOS ANGELES — CAM4 has launched “A Mouthful,” a new podcast written, produced and hosted by two of the most unapologetically authentic entertainers in the industry — Laura Desirée and Romi Rain.
According to the company, the podcast will tackle topics traditionally considered too taboo to unpack on air, with industry insights, pleasure and wellness tips and tricks from sexperts, plus real talk about censorship, financial domination and everything about the wild world of sex work, including special guests and more.
“This podcast gives us a chance to explore the human experience and perspectives on sexuality,” Desirée said. “I am thrilled at the opportunity to investigate how our sexual experiences shape our self-worth, influence our ambitions and inspire the lives we live.”
“I’m so excited to reveal myself in ways I never have before,” Rain exclaimed. “Laura and I are about to give ‘A Mouthful’ on mainstream entertainment and social media culture as well as all facets of sex work while not skimping on the dirty details of our wild lives and what makes us who we really are!”
The timing of the new show could not be more appropriate.
“Two years into the wake of the global #MeToo revolution, America has embarked on an ultraconservative nose-dive into restrictive reproductive rights, sex work continues to be shamed and criminalized across the continent, and we as a society have placed sex in its most controversial seat at the table,” a company representative explained. “Public opinion has reached its ultimate polarization on the discussion, as strong forces aim to punish and censor it.”
“All the while, pornography remains, by far, the most consumed online content and underdogs of the sex-positive communities seek to normalize discussions on educating and experiencing this most basic human activity,” the rep concluded, and added, “We need to talk!”
#MouthfulMondays launched earlier this week, on Monday, with new episodes released every Monday after that. The podcast kicks off with three bite-sized episodes, followed by full-length episodes beginning Monday, February 3.
“A Mouthful” is available on most major podcast platforms and CAM4’s YouTube channel.
