Lioness Issues Call to Vote for 'Last Gadget Standing' at CES

LAS VEGAS — Lioness made history when it was named a Top 10 finalist at the Consumer Electronics Show's (CES) "Last Gadget Standing" competition, which relies on fan votes to select its winner. Now, Lioness is putting out a call for votes to push their second-generation smart vibrator to the front of the pack.

This year, besides the live-voting event held on January 9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, organizers for Last Gadget Standing have added in a People's Choice Award, determined by advance online voting.

"Lioness was selected from hundreds of products as one of the Top 10 finalists for a CES award, [which] is a super-important step for legitimizing products addressing womxn-centric sexuality, and a huge deal for a small company like us," said co-founder Liz Klinger.

Having previously been denied a exhibiting booth following their 2017 launch, and given CES' history surrounding sextech and discriminatory practices, the honor is "particularly sweet" for Lioness. In addition to their participation in Last Gadget Standing, Lioness also joins a group of sexual wellness brands exhibiting under the show's first-ever official sextech sanction

"Sexual wellness is on a one-year trial basis at CES right now so there's no guarantee companies will be invited back next year," explained Klinger. "We want to make sure that doesn't happen, so our hope is that if we make it loud and clear that people want to see it represented, Lioness and other innovative sextech companies will be invited back beyond just this year."

The Lioness Smart Vibrator 2nd Generation builds on the success of the companies original model, which uses a network of finely tuned sensors and patented biofeedback technology to create visual representations of arousal and orgasm in users, now enhanced with AI capabilities to reveal arousal "hotspots" and a remote control for easy, hands-free use.

Besides the individual benefits for users, Lioness' digital charting has yielded the largest data set of female physiology during arousal and orgasm, marking an important contribution to the field of sexual pleasure research in the grander scheme of things.

Lioness is representing the only sextech company to have been selected as a finalist for the Last Gadet Standing. At post time, they were holding fourth place with just over 2,000 votes.

Voting ends tonight at 12 midnight (PST), with winners being announced at the live ceremony on Thursday.
