LOS ANGELES — The BBW Performer of the Year category will return to the 2020 Transgender Erotica Awards (TEAs) under the sponsorship of Grooby Productions.
The category had previously been known as “Voluptuous Diva” and was last awarded to Michelle Austin in 2014.
“We decided to bring this category back because of the growing visibility of BBW performers in trans porn and wanting a specific category to celebrate that,” said company founder and CEO Steven Grooby. “Diversity in porn is important because it shows others there isn’t just one way to be desired.”
BBW performers will remain in contention for other TEAs categories for which they are eligible.
The 2020 TEAs will be a three-day affair starting with the official TEAs pre-party at the Sayers Club in Hollywood on Friday, March 13 and culminating in the awards ceremony Sunday, March 15 at Avalon Hollywood.
